Davis Insurance Group Llc was established in September 2007 by Lloyd and Janet Davis of Statesville, NC. They purchased the Brooke Insurance Agency location at 1475 Highland Ave NE, Hickory, NC in November 2007. The agency had been a Brooke Franchise location since 2004 and was a part of the Target Insurance Group since the early 90's. The name was changed to Davis Insurance Group, Llc officially in October 2008. Many policyholders that originally began with the Target Insurance Group remain policyholders today.
Lloyd Davis managed Triangle Insurance Agency of Mooresville before purchasing his current agency. He served the community of Mooresville from 1999 until 2007 providing property and casualty insurance through that independent agency. He also was in the life and health insurance field for several years prior to becoming a property and casualty agent. Originally from northern New York, near the Canadian border, the family moved to Mooresville, NC in 1996 and to Statesville, NC in 2006. He has been happily married to his wife for 32 years and she now shares in the duties of the agency.
Janet Davis began working in the agency in January 2008 and is now a licensed property and casualty agent also. She handles most of the payments, agency downloads and endorsement processing. The couple have three sons Gregg, Scott and Bradd ages 29, 27 and 24 respectively. They are blessed with a daughter-in-law, Crystal and six grandchildren, Jacob, Blake, Hailey, Hanna, Addison and Brooklyn.
Mary Bowman has been a fixture of the agency for the past six years and has just celebrated her 73rd birthday. Mary has been involved in insurance in the Hickory area for the past twenty some years. She is a licensed property and casualty insurance agent and broker. She takes pride in serving her clients to the best of her ability and will go above and beyond to satisfy them.
We are an independent insurance agency representing many quality companies. We will work with our policyholders and prospective policyholders to get the best value and satisfy their insurance needs. We understand these tough economic times and if we can save our clients money, we will strive to do so. We will also treat you as we would wish to be treated.
